One brave night for mental health is a Canada-based challenge to raise hope for those affected by mental illness. Many Canadians understand the distress of living with mental illness, but only one in six youths get the proper treatment needed.
On April 6, One Brave Night is asking Canadians to share the night to inspire people who are living with mental illness. Participants stay up for a part of the night, or the whole night in honor to fight mental illness.
People can participate in a team or as an individual by creating a page asking for donations, or help promote awareness by posting on social media; all donations go towards the Center for Addiction and Mental Health.
The night time can be the toughest for people experiencing mental illness because in the dark they feel like most isolated, with the least amount of hope. One brave night allows those who are affected by mental illness, know that they are not alone.
