The Old East Village Business Improvement Area (BIA) is holding a series of Only in OEV Friday events.
Illuminate OEV is a night market held by the Old East Village BIA in partnership with The Market at Western Fair District.
The event had lighting in Queens Park, sleigh rides, local art and food vendors, and live band performances.
“I think it is a really good chance for us to know more about local artisans,” said Elaine who visited the night market. “We have seen same stores and chains in all malls over London or even Ontario.”
“These crafts are so unique… they are more humane than all the mass-produced goods out there,” she said.
The Old East Village BIA have been working to support businesses in Old East Village, hoping to better develop the area.
With Christmas arriving soon, the Old East Village BIA introduced an array of activities to support local small businesses and the community.
