The city is gearing up with fun events and activities set to happen downtown London for the upcoming Canada Day long weekend.
Starting on the June 3oth, Canada Day festivities will be hitting off at Dundas Place from 7-11 p.m. Londoners can look forward to the nighttime street festival featuring plenty of enjoyable and interactive entertainment. The Night Market will feature live shows from local artists, street performances and local food and drink vendors as well as goods from local businesses.
The classic firework show returns to Harris Park on July 1st with live music alongside the fireworks. The event will be opening up with a performance from Saveria, with various food trucks for attendees to check out before watching the fireworks show at 10:00 pm.
Historical sites around the city will be showcasing a piece of Canadian history by allowing Londoners a chance to learn about Canada’s diverse history and culture. Some of the places featuring this type of programming include the Eldon House, Fanshawe Pioneer Village, and the RCR museum.
For those looking to stay home and enjoy Canada Day in their backyard, for Monday only, the city is permitting the use of fireworks on private property starting at sundown till 11 p.m.
