A brief hearing was held this morning surrounding the Old East Village explosions at the Ontario Court House in downtown London.
23 year old Daniella Leis was not in attendance. Council mentioned that they have recently received a 250 page disclosure and that the defence will need time to review it first.
The case has been held over until January 29, 2020.
This isn’t the first time the hearing has been put over. Back in November the defence was awaiting disclosure from the crown.
A disclosure is a copy of the evidence that the Crown and police collect to make a prosecution.
Leis was charged with four counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm, four counts of driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in her blood causing bodily harm, and four counts of criminal negligence causing bodily harm.
On August 14 Leis’ car hit and severed a gas line with her vehicle causing a house on Woodman Avenue to explode which destroyed and severely damaged several other near by homes.
