London police have identified the person killed in a west London hit-and-run that occurred last week.
Richard James McMahon, a 39 year old London man, was struck around 11 p.m. on Feb 8th, police say.
Emergency crews responded to the area of Oxford Street west near Laurel Street after reports of a man with significant injuries. The man was taken to hospital where he later died due to said injuries.
Police say the collision took place near the intersection of Oxford and Hyde Park Road, rather than where the victim was found.
On Feb. 10, police announced David Charles MacMicken, 50, was charged with impaired driving causing death, impaired driving causing death exceed blood alcohol concentration and failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing death.
He will appear in court March 9.
Police are continuing to investigate.
