Yesterday afternoon the London fire department received a call to a fire at a Pizza Hut located at 1326 Huron St. The crew arrived and discovered a fire on the north side of the building. The fire continued to spread throughout the restaurant, the majority of the damage was on the roof of the building and fire crews were able to put out the fire.
Today the building has been left with burn marks throughout the unit and debris scattered in the parking lot. London fire and police were on site to further investigate what caused this massive fire.
Fire Marshal Clive Hubbard deemed the building unsafe to enter, the plaza is currently closed neighboring stores haven’t been affected by the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation with no injuries reported.
