The Fanshawe Fall Falcon Fest was this past weekend where the Falcons ended the day with two wins, and two ties.
The day started with the Softball team winning their first game 10-0.
Starting pitcher, Morgan Lowry went 5 innings, giving up 2 hits, while striking out 11 of the 18 batters she faced.
Kennedi Roth provided 3 RBI’s for the Falcons while Jenna McLean, Morgan Lowry, Marandee Hunter, Sara Reading and Maddy Pappas all hit an RBI of their own.
Game 2 of the Softball double-header was a blowout win for the Falcons.
The Falcons scored 10 runs in the first inning, which was capped off with 3-run RBI triple by Katie Berg, who then scored on an error.
The final of game 2 was 16-1 in 3 innings, based on the OCAA mercy rule.
Meanwhile, on the soccer pitch, both of Fanshawe’s soccer teams tied their games.
The women tied 0-0, while the men tied 2-2.
Anas Ayayda and Ryan Baker were the goal scorers for the men’s side while goaltender, Morgan Grant stopped all 11 shots on goal for the women’s side.
Fanshawe’s Soccer teams will both be back in action on Tuesday as they host the Redeemer Royals with the Women’s team playing first at 3:00pm, followed by the men at 5:00pm.
The Women’s softball team’s next game will be under the lights on Wednesday at Stronach Stadium against the top-seeded St. Clair Saints with first pitch at 6:00pm.
