Rock ‘n Roll didn’t just appear out of thin air. Like most things, it had humble beginnings and slowly developed into the strong, pounding, energetic genre we know and love today. Rock legends don’t exist without their predecessors – the people who inspired them to greatness, the trailblazers who started it all – the roots of rock! Every Thursday, we acknowledge the forefathers and mothers of Rock ‘n Roll; artists like Bo Diddley, Bob Dylan, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison and Jimi Hendrix. It’s time to party like your grandparents with the best rock music from the 50’s and 60’s every Thursday with CFRL’s Roots of Rock!
